
Food for Schools, LLC was founded by and is operated by Tim Goossens, SNS. Tim began managing cooperative purchasing for schools after founding the New Hampshire Buying Group in 1998 with 6 school districts and then created the Massachusetts School Buying. Group in 2017. In 2023, Tim became the Bid Consultant for the Long Island School Nutrition Director's Association Coop, developing a custom website and database to assist the group in managing their bidding process.
Currently, Food for Schools represents over two hundred districts, 860 schools, and over 500,000 students in 3 states. Our bids total over 40 million dollars annually, providing significant savings, structure and support for our members, while following all state and federal procurement regulations. We have relationships with most manufacturers and brokers in the school food service arena.
Tim has over 30 years of school nutrition experience as a director and a consultant. He has presented at many national conferences on various subjects and consulted on projects for the School Nutrition Association and the Institute for Child Nutrition.
